Newsflash: dreams really do come true.
I've not blogged in a while; a few years, in fact. Things have been crazy my end. After signing with David Higham Associates in 2020, I spent a few months working with my agent Maddalena on refining my manuscript. We went on submission, and early 2021 we got lucky. And then came the edits. Oh, the edits! No one told me I'd edit my book so much I'd know it inside out, but that it would be a much, much better story for it. During this time, my wife Laura and I began our IVF journey, and then in June 2022, our beautiful daughter was born. She's amazing... but we haven't had a full night's sleep since this mad little hurricane entered our lives! But, somehow, I managed to get the book finished. I definitely have Laura and her parents to thank for that.
Anyway, I digress. I can finally tell you all that my debut crime novel, The Deadly Spark, is being published by HQ on 23rd May 2024 in paperback, audiobook and ebook. I was so excited to see the cover art, and I'm unbelievably happy with it. Ready to see what it's going to look like?
Drumroll, please...
Umm... yeah. So I think I'm a little bit in love. Those flames! That shout line! HQ have done the best job on this, and I hope you love it as much as I do.
